Interview with the fabulous Leeny Moon

Today we have a very special guest on the blog.  Please give a warm welcome to Leeny Moon, the star of KB Miller's (Kymberlee Burks-Miller) Haunted Moon!!!

Hello, and thank you for having me here on this, what's it called again? Oh, that's right, dear...A Blog. Sorry, I'm not used to this new fangled electronic stuff. Anyhow, my creator Kymberlee told me that you would like to ask me a few questions, and I would be more than happy to, as long as you don't ask me anything that could get my grandbabies hurt. You understand, I'm sure.

• What do you consider your greatest achievement?
My family- I have beautiful children, and grandchildren

• What is your current state of mind?
Honey, I'm a ghost. My state of mind is transparent. Ha-ha!

• What is your favorite occupation?
I always wanted to be a Bingo attendant, it looks mighty fun.

• What is your most treasured possession?
Love, it's the greatest gift in the world. Never squander it.

• What is your favorite journey?
The journey that I'm taking on the other side, guiding my granddaughter, Lilyann. She's awful pretty.

• What is your most marked characteristic?
Well, I believe that honesty is only policy

• When and where were you the happiest?
When I was with my family.

• What is your greatest fear?
That something bad is going to happen to one of my kin, and I won't be able to stop it.

• Which living person do you most despise?
Those damn Kardashian sisters. They're some pretty girls with great hair!

• What is your greatest regret?
That I wasn't there when the little family secret came out.

• Whose are your heroes in real life?
Hmm, I'd have to say every stay at home parent, that's a hard job!

• Which living person do you most admire?
Everyone of our service men and women!

• If you were to die and come back as a person or thing, what do you think it would be?
Erm...Willow, dear... I am dead. I don't want to come back.

• What is your motto?
If it's got red eyes....KILL IT!

Hey gang, this is Kymberlee, author of the Moon Coven Series. I wanted to personally thank each of you for joining Leeny and I here today! We would love for y'all to stop by any of these pages and pay us a visit.
Love, Hugs, and Twitchy-Witchy Kisses
XOXO

Father's Day

Good morning!!!

I've searched all over the internet this morning looking for the picture that said exactly what I'd like to say this morning...unfortunately, I'm too wordy and of course couldn't find one.  So, I'll just write a longggg post and say what I want. LOL

Father’s Day is very special to me because I had a very special father!!!  Dad had three children, then adopted 3 more, and then....because he took being a father so seriously...he took on five more foster children.  Now of course my Mother played an integral part in that, but nonetheless, he took his role in our lives to heart.

My Dad had a special knack of making each of us think we were his favorites.  Although he constantly stated he had no favorites, we were all pretty certain we were the one.  He’s been gone nearly a decade and I’d bet money that if my siblings and myself ever had a real conversation about who his favorite was, we’d probably argue. LOL

He taught me to love, laugh, and engage in critical thinking.  I can remember many times throughout my life, I’d walk in the house and he’d be sitting at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee.  Mom would be scurrying around doing one chore or another, and he’d be sitting quietly by himself.  When I’d ask what he was doing, he’d say, “Just mulling things over, honey.”  And then quick as a whip, he’d be all smiles and conversation.

Here are some wise words from my Father I’d like to share with you:

1.  Always check the oil in your car.  If you do it twice a week it’s not too much.  (I didn’t listen and had two different engines seize up before I turned 20.)

2.  If you meet a man in a bar, leave him there.

3.  A young man that doesn’t want to meet your family can’t have any good intentions.

4.  Never set yourself up for failure.  If you’re making a house payment that’s more than a quarter of your monthly income, you’ll end up doing without necessities.

5.  If someone won’t love you the way you are, they don’t love you period.  Why would you want someone that doesn’t love you to start with?

6.  Remember everything you did as a teenager and then expect your children will do worse.  Then try like the blazes to keep them from doing it!

7.  Your children don’t need friends, they need parents.  They have tons of friends, but only two parents.

There are many many more, but you get the gist.  I’m very thankful to have grown up in a home with a Dad like mine.  I know many are not that lucky.  I’m also thankful to know that there are many Dads out there who take their role in their children’s lives just a seriously!!!
Happy Father’s Day!!!!

Interview with Deborah Noel

Today's special guest is the awesomely fabulous Deborah Noel, author of Tangled Bloodlines!!!

Welcome Deborah!!!!  Awesome to have you here!!!  Inquiring minds want to know, so I’m here to ask the questions. LOL
Thanks for having me Willow!  So glad to be here!

1.  As a child, who was your favorite superhero and why?
It’s been so long since I was a child!  LOL!  I don’t really know if I had one.  I know that my favorite cartoon was “Speed Racer” ~ I wanted to be Trixie!  Does that count?

2.  If you were going to take over the world, how would you do it?
I can’t tell you that, it would give away my secret plan!  (and I’d probably get in trouble) LOL!  Needless to say it includes vampires, werewolves and some good witches spells!!  I would probably use some of those Vapors that Brae summoned in “Tangled Blood Lines” while they were having dinner with Rogi during the trip to Germany.

3.  Other than writing, what is your favorite thing to do?
Spend time with my husband and our Jack Russell.  Love to “people watch” wherever we go.

4.  Top 5 favorite bands/songs?
            1. Nickelback
            2. Apocolyptica
            3. Bee Gees
            4. Shorty Long (cover band we like to see while down the beach)
            5. The Heartbeats (cover band my cousin plays the keyboards for)

5.  Top 5 favorite TV shows?
            1. Big Bang Theory
            2. True Blood
            3. Most of the CSI shows
            4. Criminal Minds
            5. Once Upon a Time

6.  If you could make one statement the entire planet would hear and remember, what would it be?
Never give up on your dreams.  Be yourself.  Don’t do onto someone what you wouldn’t want to be done to you.

7.  Social issue nearest and dearest to your heart?
I don’t know if there is ONE that is nearest and dearest to my heart.  I’m a big supporter of fire-fighters.  And there is a US Marine friend of mine, MAC, who is walking across America to each of our 50 States’ Capital to raise awareness and help for Veterans.  “Tangled Blood Lines” and I are one of his sponsors.  His journey will take 5-6 years to complete and I will be writing a couple of books telling the story of his travels.  Links to his cause can be found on my Facebook Page.
I am also a big fan of helping each other in times of need, especially in today’s economy.  That doesn’t always mean monetarily either.  There are so many things people can do to help each other.  A shoulder to lean on or an ear to listen go a long way.  Sharing work leads for jobs, kinds words and kinder acts are also things we can do for each other.  Standing together and holding each other up will make a different in a world that seems to be crashing down around us all.  United We Stand, Divided We Fall.

8.  In your opinion, what characteristics do the best bad guys have in common?
Having great sex appeal and being extremely egotistical seem to be the big ones.

9.  What is most likely to put you in a creative mood?
People watching, being in the woods, or down the shore.  Most importantly, music.

10.  Is there anything you’d like to tell us about your books?
In “Tangled Blood Lines” I tried to bring back the mean and nasty “old-school” vampires while keeping them up-to-date.  I wanted to be different, so I added CSI into the mix.  And of course, no story is complete without a twist or two and some love.  “Tangled Blood Lines” is book one of the “Tangled Legacy Series”.  I am working on the sequel and book 1.5 of the sub-series of “Tangled Legacy Series”.

Thanks so much for joining us!!!!!  We appreciate you sharing!!!!
Thank you for having me.  If anyone has any further questions, I can be found on facebook and twitter@deborahnoelauth.  “Tangled Blood Lines” can be found on Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble online sites and on Vamptasypublishing.co.uk.

  “Tangled Blood Lines”

“Old-school vampires have re-surfaced, responsible for brutal murders and more blood than anyone can cope with.  Cianna Fitzgerald, a young but 'retired' crime scene investigator, finds herself back in a world she walked away from some years ago.

“She grew up in knowing she possesses superhuman power from her 'Irish pixie' bloodlines.  She had retired after a particularly tough case where the victim was her husband’s twin brother.  After her brief respite from murders and homicides, Cianna witnesses a killing where the murderer is a vampire.  Her daughter goes missing soon after the killing.  Cianna and the love she had once pushed out of her life, her estranged husband Declan, travel halfway around the world to try to save their daughter.

“As the mystery unravels, she learns that although she is a half-breed, the other half isn’t 'Irish pixie' as she grew up believing – weaving her into a more tangled history and frightening future than she had bargained for.”
